Audio Intelligence
A new system-wide feature that uses on-device AI to identify sounds around you — sirens, doorbells, alarms — and surfaces them as notifications without interrupting your audio. Works with AirPods 5 and compatible Apple Watch models.
Siri Recap
At the end of your day, Siri Recap gives you a personalised summary of what happened — drawn from your calendar, health data, messages and notifications. All processing is on-device. Nothing is sent to Apple's servers.
Live Rewind on Apple Watch
Missed something someone said? Apple Watch Series 12 and Ultra 4 paired with iOS 27 can show you a live transcription of the last few seconds of audio around you. A genuinely useful accessibility and practical feature.
Camera — Photographic Styles Update
On supported devices, iOS 27 brings updated Photographic Styles with the ability to adjust skin texture and colour balance — bringing more creative control directly into the native Camera app without editing software.
Dynamic Island — Three Activities at Once

New Visual Design Language
iOS 27 introduces a subtle but noticeable visual refresh — a glass-like layered aesthetic across the system UI, updated app icons, and refined animations throughout. It's the most significant visual update since iOS 7.
Compatible Devices
iOS 27 is expected to support iPhone XR and later. The full Apple Intelligence suite requires iPhone 15 Pro or later, with the best experience on iPhone 17 Pro, iPhone Air, and iPhone 18 Pro.
